About Me

Clara Isom is a high school senior with a passion for both the sciences and the arts. She hopes to study Environmental Engineering in college, with the goal of working on environmentally beneficial projects related to sustainable energy solutions, and addressing climate change to serve and conserve the natural world.

Her analytical approach to problem-solving informs her political cartoons, which have earned national recognition through student journalism awards. As an All-State oboist in Pennsylvania, Clara is dedicated to exploring the emotional depth of classical repertoire through performance.

Beyond the studio and concert hall, Clara founded the Emmaus High School Hydroponics Club, combining her love of science with her passion for nature and the environment. Whether cultivating plants, exploring outdoor ecosystems, creating art, or maintaining a bioactive terrarium for her crested gecko, Cheerio, she approaches each pursuit with curiosity and care.

Clara believes that creativity and logic are not opposing forces, but complementary tools for understanding and improving the world.
